There comes a time when it’s necessary to prune or cut trees in a property. Trees that are diseased, dying, dead, have grown too big, or have branches that extend to where they shouldn’t be pose safety risks. One Mi-Wuk Village family experienced the danger of leaving trees uncared for firsthand; myMotherLode.com relates the news:

Tree-Crash

“A local mother calls a tree smashing just inches from her sleeping baby “terrifying”.

The accident happened Wednesday (February 26) around 9:30 p.m. on Lama Road in Mi-Wuk Village. Sarah Guyer, her husband, her mother, two-year-old daughter and one-year-old son were all in the home when the tree came crashing down on their two story house.

Seconds later, Guyer’s husband realized that their baby boy was asleep upstairs. He took off running and found a tree had ripped a hole in the ceiling above the baby’s crib and debris was everywhere, well almost everywhere.

Guyer explains, “It went around his crib, underneath his crib and all over his room, but completely avoided the actual crib; so there was nothing inside his crib. We’re thanking God for that one. It was just like a protective bubble around him.” There was not even a scratch on the baby boy.”

It is fortunate that no one was harmed during the incident. Still there’s no denying that the incident proves the importance of having the trees on your property, pruned, cut, and cared for as necessary.

While pruning hedges and small branches can be done by anyone, a professional San Jose arborist is needed to cut a tree’s large branches or remove the tree completely. Professional arborists use special tools for cutting trees. Plus, they are trained to do this type of job safely and successfully.

Property owners can also use the services of a professional arborist if they want to improve the look of their property. If tree branches grow in unwanted directions, the property can start looking unkempt. This not only affects the property’s appearance, but its overall value as well. It’s a good idea to have an arborist care for your trees regularly.

A reliable San Jose or Palo Alto tree service like the Bay Area Tree Specialists can handle your tree maintenance needs including aesthetic pruning, vista pruning, crown reduction, end-weight reduction, tree installation, tree removal, stump removal, and root feeding/fertilization.
